Dear easel

Dear easel,
I have to go into town today but I will return to you as soon as I am able. A necessary thing has come up, one I am  happy and grateful to do. I just wanted you to know that I will miss you while I’m away.

I have immensely enjoyed our time together lately. Sharing coffee with you while my brain is slowly roused by the delicious caffeine is an experience I could once only dream about. Greeting you each day, the discoveries we make together, the things you teach me about you and about myself are some of my favorite things about my life. Today I left too early and had to have my coffee to go. Though I miss you, I am not sad because we get to spend so much time together each week. I cannot feel anything but overflowing gratitude.
